@Reuan @Pyrophosphate Okay I think I may have worded it wrong. I think it's more of character development wise and powers. I do know that Misaka does get a lot of appearances but I feel like even though she does have these appearances in the light novel, it feels like she's pushed to the side and just there for the heck of it. Heck Accelerator and Kakine gets such a power boost and such a powerful character arc to back it up which makes them really impactful characters, (which I'm talking about the wings and other stuff that overcome god and those sorts). We have Gunha who's powers are still unknown to this day because he's a gemstone and heck if he tried hard enough, he may have the ability to defeat Accelerator (who knows? No one, not even himself knows the extent of his own power after all.) And then there's Misaka, that despite having so much appearance, doesn't really have development. There was this moment in the light novel where she becomes somewhat psychologically mental and becomes power hungry because she wants to stand next to Touma instead of chasing after him. Honestly this was one of my most favorite moments in light novel because it brings a different light to the most proclaimed 'normal' Level 5. I wanted to see where this truly brings her and how it will affect her in the aftermath. But it only lasted a light novel and then it gets neglected and she goes back to her normal self? I remember just some pep talk of Touma solved her mental instability and then they forget it like it never happened. It basically gets neglected. Like what happened to that motivation? I want to see Misaka adapt to a different environment and her forcibly going to different means in order to get a character development and maybe even be able to show what truly a Level 5 is which what Kamachi wrote in that arc was really splendid but it just gets forgotten... it's so disheartening on how such a plot that has so much potential gets dumped down the drain..
I think what I'm trying to say is, compared to Kakine and MOST especially Accelerator who goes through these immense power character developments after they see the light, and to add the fact that they're really powerful beings from the case of being Level 5's and then there's Misaka who even after having so much appearances doesn't seem to be growing as much as a character compared to others... It might be just me but I think how Kamachi treats Misaka is a bit.. cruel.. :/ I mean it's just my opinion overall and I'm not sure if you're able to understand what I'm trying to say.. or if I'm just missing information...but this is a bit of what I mean by being neglected. Not appearance wise but development wise.
PS: I forgot the fact that Misaka barely knows anything on the magic side and she still hasn't questioned Touma on it.. like really? Unless the newest NT's does have her doing that, I still don't understand what the author is trying to do with her..
