That last page is precisely how I feel about Index III... sigh, what a disappointment...
At least now we're finally gonna see the end of Item in the way it should have been shown in the anime!

Hamazura thinking back on the original thesis statement of Skill-out was a nice touch, Season 3 of the anime was weirdly divorced from Hamazuras connection with skill out and how that factors into his thoughts on all this Esper infighting. The characters seem to have a lot more room to breath and here; especially Hamazura with how important this arc is supposed to be for his character.
I hope we get to see more of the offscreen content from the novels here; since this manga seems to be the last chance to cover Battle royale and maybe leave the arc off at a higher note than the anime did.

Chuuya's manga adaptation is doing a great job so far.

That one line about Mugino's temper tantrums was a nice set up though.

After all this years I still believe the Girl with the Pink Dress somehow influenced her
