Ooooooo boy, this is gonna be crazy…
I have a theory, next chapter will have a few things:
1. Full canon Mitsukou because that will be what brings Kou’s memories back, but he might opt to stay in the new world because of it and his full family. He had already defied Teru before, and I think he’d try to win him over with the family argument.
2. Akane said that everyone would permanently forget everything in three days, so it’s really only Yashiro that is in a predicament here as she only wants Hanako who is the only one gone. This would mean that everyone might turn against yashiro for some angst
3. There is a slight chance that Sakura and Natsuhiko already know what is going on, and they are secretly plotting in the background, which could be alluded to or be the cliffhanger of the next chapter
Phew, that was a lot, but what ever happens, I’ll have my tissues close

the theory that aoi’s dad is out of the picture and cheated is canon now wooo (tho it’s sad)
also apparently the minamoto dad is finally having dinner with his kids? where is he usually (guessing it’s work) but awwww he never comes home so that’s why kou only cooks for 3 😭

That all depends. If you recall, Teru's clan used to sacrifice kannagi like Akane to the hole because monsters would appear from the other side and terrorize civilians. The seven mysteries exist to separate the near and far shores and keep most supernaturals out. This current world has no seven mysteries so...wouldn't that tradition still be on-going? That would put an interesting perspective on Teru and Aoi's current relationship.

A strong protector being married off to a sacrifice...sounds familiar, no?

There's a theory that nene is actually related to Aoi's family hence why she's the priestess of the current era.
If the theory is true, Nene and Aoi might be half sisters which I think would be an interesting twist + if I remember correctly we never saw Nene's dad 🤔
