okay, the more I think about it the more I am sure that isn't Yugi Amane. When you think about it if the Clock Keepers change the pass they make sure that Yugi Tsukasa never made that deal with the being. If we remember Tsukasa made that deal to save Amane. If Tsukasa never made that deal then Amane would have died young. This is a backup for the clock not being there. Amane kept up with the clock maintenance. He made sure the clock was working as long as he was alive. If he wasn't there, the clock would have been taken down just like in this timeline. Also, this person didn't say older or younger brother, they just said brother. Which means this could be Tsukasa. Also, it is not hard to believe Tsukasa would take one of his brother's dreams to a point. It is interesting why this person is only a teacher and not working with a space program. Amane died young while Tsukasa got to live and grew up.
I don't think happiness is really earned, but I guess so.@Beatrice But we can at least expect that the characters will earn their happiness in the end.
True. I can't shake the feeling it's not Tsukasa. Maybe you are right and it is both brothers blended. It is hard to say what is happening. The mangaka love their twists to the plot. Heck, we are not even sure what this being is. That evil that lives under the house is even older than most ghosts. Ara ara, we need so much information, but we won't get it until we learn what happened in the past.Pretty sure that Amane said "little" brother in chapter 119. Kou also had knowledge of the house and said the same thing. Amane is definitely possessed, but like, does it have to be only him? The house has both twins so it wouldn't surprise me if there's a twist that both Amane and Tsukasa do the same job and look exactly alike.
More importantly though, there's a problem with this theory. We don't know that Amane would have died without Tsukasa's wish. That was a doctor's estimate at the time. We see that the Amane of the present world takes/took oral medicine. Tsukasa might've been duped.

I do wonder what happened to Sakura and Natsuhiko. I wonder if they keep their memories. If Kou and 3 were supposed to keep their. I wonder what happened. Also if Nene goes into the past would Older and Younger Number 1 would stop her? There is so much; however, I feel like Nene would destroy Number 1's item. This arc isn't going to end well.Aaaand it gets worse. Usually, there's some breathing room to let characters react to events, but I guess this is really the worst scenario. I really wonder how it got this bad. The red house in its last arc was almost too benevolent. It at least asked for consent to keep you around as the cost for the wish. Now it'll just drag you in and kill you, I guess. Is it even granting wishes anymore? Or is all this a process for a big wish to be granted? No way to tell.
RIP Akane. His leg is tainted so there's no way he's getting out of there alive. Teru might survive though. He landed that last attack and this clearly seems to be "his" arc, so I very much doubt he'll be out of the picture for long. On the other hand, Nene is alone. Nene can't do shit alone, ever. List of possible allies: Sakura and Natsuhiko, Tsuchigomori, Mei Shijima...and Tiara maybe? Her usual support group is completely wiped out, and I wouldn't even trust Tsuchigomori. Amane seemed to have sacrificed Tsukasa (implying there was something gained from it) and Tsukasa was a toddler. So Amane has been on a killing spree for like 60+ years? Could Tsuchigomori - his co-worker - really come out unscathed? X to doubt. A teacher directed Mitsuba and Kou to go there. I'm betting the school will be overrun with hole zombies and people Nene can't really trust. This is her mindbreak arc I guess.
Nothing more to discuss really. It was a straightforward chapter. Aoi (girl) being able to use the spirit blade is cool. Kou said it was super heavy.
EDIT: Oh, and the new cover's pretty cool. The warm orange and cool blue make for a nice, and unsubtle, contrast between the natural and supernatural.
I totally agree that this isn't Amane. I like your theory but I feel like it would make more sense if it's Amane's body but Tsukasa is the one possessing his body. From the volume cover as well as the his eyes, it's shown to be Amane (or at least, his body). My theory is that this might have been the house/Tsukasa visualizing Amane's dream and making him an adult OR the house possessing Amane's body. Also, with the space program vs. teacher detail, I think Amane would very likely have been some kind of professor due to his passion for space. It could have been after the space program, but I think the slight difference between teacher and astronaut is important.okay, the more I think about it the more I am sure that isn't Yugi Amane. Yeah. It has always been a thing that twins have a stronger connection than normal siblings. Heck back in old times in Japan having twins was seen as a bad omen. If someone had them that would bring great misfortune to the family especially if it was two boys. This belief was before the Meji thus before Amane and Tsukasa were born. I would be leaning that this could be being that mix the two into one. That Amane's body lives while Tsukasa's soul lives. It wouldn't be so strange for a being like this to mix the two and have a puppet to do it bidding.I totally agree that this isn't Amane. The detail about "Amane" just saying "brother" instead of being specific I think could suggest that the whole family was consumed by the house. The house itself is separate, but the souls of the Yugi twins probably had an effect on the appearance. This might explain why Amane is only a teacher since the house has several overlapping memories and souls.
Either ways, great theory! I didn't really notice these details until I read your comment
I don't think it's as simple as that, if not them then another family might've ended up living there. And iirc it got closed off after that because the supernatural there was too strong to suppress, so simply destroying it is out of the picture as well.So all of this won’t happen if the Amane family move house. Tbh the house design gives a red alert that it’s not a normal house with that gothic design
