I finally added this dross to the "dropped" pile. I've read the LNs and after the world building Vol 1. It is dross until Vol 6. Even then Vol 6 would be trash is it wasn't for the terrorist attack during the cultural festival. We are being drip fed the MC's life and the issues he has, but it is not progressing at all. I would say this is on par with Rent a Girlfriend for the lack of progress. Alya is about the 7th most interesting girl in the show, and nothing explains her position as FMC, because my god so many other girls are far superior to this timid Tsundere who is one dimensional at best. Yes she grows and develops over seven LN volumes, but she is still behind pretty much every last female character in this story. Is it awful writing or is she a placeholder for girl readers to project themselves onto? Yeah. I enjoyed the first volume and the first 6/7 episodes of the anime, but past that, this has zero appeal.
