Hanazawa's stories are extremely gripping and at the same time intensely uncomfortable. It feels like you're reading about things he's personally fixated on and been tormented by in his own life. Especially feels like it since all the MCs he draws look vaguely like him too lol.

A lot of Hanazawa's stories feature losers as protagonists, so it's not that surprising. I feel like I read somewhere once about how he doesn't think it's as exciting to write characters that aren't losers, because they're not normal enough. But I wouldn't know where to point, if you were to ask me.
