i never wanted to read/watch this because few years back i saw the edgiest/cringiest meme about this manga on 9gag but let's give this a try

the translation is kind of weird, all ghouls eat human to survive so there's no reason to identify them as "eater" type. I've compared this to mangaplus and the anime and they never said anything about a "eater" type too

I watched the 1st season of the original anime and some of the second season, so I want to see what changes were made

I have to say... I read this ages ago before the anime came out, and when the anime came around I was a little disappointed by the changes. I liked the OG manga better, but I heard somewhere that the changes were actually made by the manga author themself, and that they were dissatisfied with the way their work was going so they made those changes for the anime and were in the process of figuring out how to move forward, hence why the was so much filler and side story stuff going on in the manga at the time.
Now I'm ready to read this again. Here's to hoping the author didn't retcon anything.
