To be honest i do feel a bit conflicted with Takemichi like many others here think but i remember that from the start Takemichi has been weak and scaredfrom the start. Some may say that its bad character development but i think this is more of realistic then anything. If i think of an actual person that would go through with this then i could understand why it takes so long to change. He is a 26 year old guy who has most of his teen life been beaten by delinquents and have gotten so used to not being able to do anything to change his situation and he is only now finally starting to learn that he can. Thats one of the things i was so drawn into with this series! He can't just completely change over the course of a few volumes.
I won't say the series is perfect but it is still really great and honestly really close to me by now. I might be wrong on some parts or your thoughts on this is very different but i just wanted to have my say in this.

I just catch up after starting it like 2 days ago and I guess this is where I drop it. Tbh I thought about dropping it few times already but kept going thinking that maybe something will change in the many chapters that I still had to read but nothing changed. So yeah there is no way I keep waiting every weeks for Takemichi to keep disappointing me.

alot of people say the MC can't fight, but imo he doesn't need to, they already have Mikey, Draken, Chifuyu and others.
Takemitchi's mision is to change the future, and he is struggling with that and doing his best, so just hope for the best and stop complaning about Takemitchi's skills!

-A lot of people hate the MC but he save everybody till now
-There are worst stories they follow with shitty character development or they dont even talk about the people who follow the MC
-They make a direct comparison with Mikey brother about how he doesn't fight in a world of crimes but still managed to guide a large group like the Black Dragons

I think a lot of people misunderstood the MC role in the story. It's like Saitama in OPM and how he almost don't do anything but you still love it

That is one of the worst comparisons I have ever seen. Saitama is a joke lead in gag manga. His laziness and OPness are why he does what he does. It’s a completely different story setting so comparing it to this is so stupid.

People are pissed off with the MC here because he is a grown man who still behaves like a coward after seeing people he care for die. His lack of conviction and ability are things that should have changed by now, but they still haven’t. He figured out that she was being targeted and when it counted he couldn’t act in time, that is what people have an issue with. Failure at the start was to be expected but still failing now after all this time is pathetic. He has people who count on him and still he lets them down.

Takemichi has been on this mission for the longest time now and he still hasn't even built his body or learned any self defense, come on. He still couldn't even throw himself at Emma to save her. @Sleepii is right, failure at the start was expected. But we're in chapter 148 and the ONLY THING Takemichi actually did is be the Protagonist and use his forced-ass charisma to befriend strong people after getting beat and give a shonen manga speech about not givong up or whatever (EVEN THOUGH it's heavily implied that past, non-time-traveling Takemichi is a total poser bitch). I'm about to drop this manga, I actually don't feel there was any real character development even though I acknowledge we've been through a fuckton of shit.

Kinda tired of people complaining why Takemichi didn't save Emma on time. The time gap during his realisation why she didn't exist in future to the previous chapter of the assault is shorter than it actually is. The weekly wait for new chapter is what make it feels longer thus the illusion that he digested the new info and can come up to her defense.

Let's be real here. It's almost chapter 150. You know the MC by now. He would stand in front of the bat swing in a heartbeat if he knew four eyes gonna attack her.

Seriously the MC already thought about how Emma may not have been in the future, why wasn't his mind in full "protect Emma" mode?

Imagine if when he saw Kisaki riding towards them, he pushes her out of the way. Kisaki comes back to try and attack again, then Mikey comes and kicks his face in. Waaayyy more satisfying and makes more sense.

This manga is getting very stupid very fast
All he has to do is just kill Kisaki
And first off why the HELL hasn't he told Mikey and Drakken about the future stuff? Why is he only telling some random friend of his? If he told Mikey from the BEGINNING, they would have kicked Kisaki from the start. Even now if he told him sooner, Mikey would have easily killed Kisaki for the sake of the future. This manga's writing is horrible because the author is just ignoring simple time travel solutions for the sake of overcomplicated the plot and making more chapters.

If you're going to write a time travel series, learn how to actually use your brain and write properly around the issues with time travel. Don't just ignore it and pretend you're readers won't notice. It will be time to drop this manga soon unless the MC can actually start making the more obvious and smart choices by utilizing his future knowledge.
