Imagine being mad at a MC which doesnt just gets pushed around by the plot and makes things happen by himself. Seriously, most MCs out there make the story 'progress' just by existing. And isnt braindead, he thinks ahead of time.

@ShionSinX effort does not justify actions. MC is still trash just like how criminals who put effort in robbing banks are trash. It's the action of using immoral tactics that make them trash.

@panuero however, the MC is doing all this to further an agenda that will take power away from the more despicable people who try to control all the relics to use against the general populace. He's on a higher moral ground than them, though he isn't a saint, one of his best character traits. He isn't another one dimensional mc who refuses to take affirmative action. He reminds of the mc from omniscient reader but much more ruthless.
