Yeah....chinese novels-manhua that take place in a fictional real world are , more often than not, racist. Swallowed Star and I am Really A Superstar are such examples. At least you can find a lot South Korean novels-manhwa which effectively avoid racism, but almost none in Chinese novels.
Korean comics have had anti-Japanese elements in it since the colonial period. If they are still doing it then it tells you something about the relationship between the two countries still.
“You know I can report you to the authorities for pulling a gun on a civilian.” And he can have you imprisoned for assaulting a member of the military 😃
