@Hollow7F I'm pretty sure that she's mad at Jun for going along with the dad's demands. Consider that they basically went on a date, at no point did the dad show up or try to stop them, the only thing that made it 'not' be a date is that Jun says it's not, while the dad may have put that rule in place we don't actually see him enforcing it, the person who has enforced it is Jun, meaning that he's effectively an accomplice so he does share in the blame of this limitation. Not to mention he didn't say anything about it to her before they were finishing up their first date basically, and as far as we (or more importantly Tomo) can tell he hasn't seemed to be making a big effort in overcoming it, we haven't seen him do any unusual training, him fighting the dad to see where they stand, or anything like that. Perhaps she should be talking things out with him and trying to get them both on the same page, but given how she found out that this was going on and that it seemed to be going on behind her back to her at least, not to mention how much it impacted her emotionally that she didn't see either of her other friends over new years or such, I'll give her some leeway to be pouty with Jun for a bit.

Well tbf no one's to blame - Getting approval from both parents, Jun's Side. Loosing all the development, Tomo's Side. Approving the boyfriend ( future husband of Tomo ) of her daughter, her Dad's side - but at the same time everyone's to blame - childish game by Jun and her Dad and Tomo not understanding both sides. Only her mother is out of this. Hopefully Authoer doesn't drag this too much.

I honestly feel bad for all three of them. Jun technically has it worse though, if only for his old fashioned sensibilities. Then again it was Tomo who ended up being humiliated after their first (not actual?)date. And Gorou basically finally realized he's not prepared to see his daughter become a woman, even if he already knew her feelings for Jun.

I honestly feel bad for all three of them.

Come on now... Now we need like 5 chapters for her friends to make her understand and that would be useless as Jun will probably try to fight and get approval anyway

lmao Jun did the right thing and even respects her fathers decision regarding their relationship. Instead tomo wants to disregard how much Jun values her fathers approval? C'mon now, you seriously should know better. Sure she can be angry with her father cuz well that's family for ya.

tbf I guess she's more so mad because Jun kind of led her on and didn't clarify before hand what was going on so she feels embarrassed and what not. It'll boil over soon anyways

Jun should just find a better GF that doesnt play these mindgames.

@Exile Except that this is the exact opposite, Tomo isn't playing any games. In fact I feel that she's pretty tired of Jun's shit at this point. The whole reason Jun wouldn't ask Tomo out, deflected, ignored, and avoided her, was because he felt he wasn't worthy enough to ask her out without first beating her, and now here he has created yet another obstacle for them to overcome without telling her at all, and while letting her believe that they were dating the entire time.

Imagine gaining the approval from the parents only to lose it from the only person who really matters, this is why communication is important.

P.S. (Also Gorou's terms are incredibly absurd regardless, imagine an adolescent boy against a grown man who spends everyday of his life training to be in top physical perfection. Jun will be a grown man by the time he is allowed to even "Date" daddy's little girl. This whole excuse was stupid in History's Strongest Disciple and it's stupid here as well. )

Just fight already. I'm sure that out of 1000 matches, Jun might be able to get in a lucky punch and win....(if he isn't a cripple by then)

Oh but she is, Jun wants to do things properly in the way he thinks as Tomo is just doing the whole "ignore until you do what I want you to do".
She is not telling Jun anything, its the typical passive-aggressive behavior where Jun is expected to do what SHE wants, if communication is important we know were the failure lies with ... and thats Tomo. But as usual this will not lead to the collapse of the relationship.
I say again, Jun could do better and this is not me being a contrarian but rather the problem with romance series that go beyond when they "hook up", the only way to drive interest in the relationship will be just these type of problems that will always be one side being wrong and Jun is not the one in the wrong, is Tomo.

Even putting aside the fact that Jun was being a complete asshole with his going along with them dating for multiple days plus a date only to dump ice water on her at the end of it, there's the fact that he hasn't tried even once to beat her old man.
There was no stipulation that he only gets one chance. He should be trying to beat the living daylights out of Gorou every chance he gets. This is pretty much saying to her "yeah I don't care enough about your feelings and happiness to try right now, give me some time k thnx bai".

Frankly the right response for both of these guys would be to just talk about how they are being ignored, agree to give up on their bet over someone else's feelings, and dogeza in front of Tomo while asking to see her breasts wait wrong manga.

I'm with Exile on this. This passive aggressive BS has to stop, because if we are getting a break down of communication THIS EARLY in a relationship, then it's very telling sign. Tomo overreacted to her dad request, while she is getting mad at Jun for being old fashioned and asking permission from her parents to date her.

I sincerely hopes this ends quickly with Tomo's dad backing down and with Tomo apologizing for overacting. I'm sick to death of seeing this stuff happen in real life only to barf all over my escape from reality.

Jun's and Tomo's (in)actions aside, i hate this "Mah precious daughter is taken away from me by her boyfriend" trope.

@Exile But Jun already knows exactly why she is mad, she believed they were dating the entire time, she even yelled at him saying so, therefore Jun should know full well she's mad at him because he was essentially leading her on.

Though since you still believe Jun to be innocent in all this, lets inverse things a bit with a hypothetical situation. Let's say that you start reading a new manga, it's a nice little Rom-com with two main characters. Only that the Female MC has a habit of making rules for herself or "Goals", if you prefer, that she must complete before she allows herself to do certain things. The Female MC must therefore become the student council president before she will even consider romance at all.

She eventually succeeds but only with the Male MC's constant help and support. Then they start seeing each other on weekends and things seem to be going smoothly for a while only for things to heat up, then become abruptly stopped by the Female MC who informs the Male MC that they are not actually dating, and that she has only agreed to consider his courtship at this point. For her to actually consider dating anyone, she first must fulfill her dream of becoming the successful CEO of a major corporation, which may or may not ever happen. Would you not agree that she was leading him on at this point? Does the Male MC have no right to be angry about this situation?

The passive aggressive thing is simply what all Women do, get used to it. Jun and Gorou are just in the proverbial dog house right now for making her mad.

The pessimistic side of me is honestly starting to think that Jun is very much cowardly like Gorou when it comes to this stuff. He doesn't run away like Gorou does, but he always somehow finds new obstacles for him to overcome before he can be considered worthy of something. Much like a game, only where the goalposts move immediately before you score, so there is never any actual winning. It's hard to save the princess when the villain kidnaps her, but it's even harder to accomplish your goal and rescue her, when it is "YOU" yourself who keeps putting her in another castle.

Jun let it get to the point where she was literally in his house and on his bed asking for a kiss, what more do you need!? How exactly was Jun not in any way at fault here?
