@DarklordVor I think that what
@SpacyRicochet means is that the contract only bets the money in the possession of the players the moment the right order is confirmed (p. 7) and the following page implies that the sold players don't count as possessing the team's money (and that's the whole reason they made the bet in the first place). But on page 27 of chapter 63, it looks like only the mafia team bought back any team members. Then the order of events is: Yuuichi loses the coin toss game --> Mafia team buys back their guys, nobody else does --> At least two players confirm the order --> Yuuichi wins the money in the possession of the players who made the bet, but team Gigolo's and team Cultist's members are still sold, so they don't count as possessing their team's money. I agree that Yuuichi gets the mafia's money, and that's enough to win back his teammates, but it doesn't look like he should win everyone's money.
Frankly, I think this ending was kind of dumb anyway. Even if the team members sold are the weakest members, that doesn't mean they have to be blisteringly stupid. To be fair, two of the teams are led by a charismatic abuser, so it makes sense that their members are gullible, and the mafia guys have unwavering faith in their boss and his "gambling monster" daughter, but it's still a stretch for them to so easily accept the gamble (I guess Tomodachi game expects teams to be a bunch of idiots led by one or two smart people) when the gamble is so vague as to just say "the amount of money you possess at the time of confirmation". Not to mention that that's a loose definition of "possession" of money- if the money belongs to a team of five, and three people agree to the contract, wouldn't it make more sense to say that they possess 3/5 of that money?
