I'm left speechless. There has to be something wrong with her, some kind of deeper underlying mental issue. Not as justification for her actions, rather I cannot comprehend how she came to these conclusions.
'My dad seems into this married woman, let's ruin her relationship.'
'The child of the family i ruined is depressed, let's make friends with him.'
Sure the Mc's mother may have been unsatisfied with her marriage, but it's very likely that speaking with her husband could have changed things.
Who knows, maybe it wouldn't. But the fact that the catalyst for all this is this kid? And she has the audacity to show up in front of the Male Mc again after he found out. I wonder if the mother knows too?
Does everyone consider the situation too far gone? Well, everyone except the one whom caused it, considering she's still trying to get with the Male Mc.
I'm not even mad, she's not a character worth feeling any emotion but disappointment for.

That's not how it works. Forgiveness and rebuilding trust is a long process, and it's not guaranteed that you'll ever be forgiven of your acts.

Kids really being doing the worse. I'm still a kid and I try not to be like these people, it's easy. The mangaka just added the most weirdest reason, but middle schoolers are little gremlins so it makes some sense

It wasn't about ruining her relationship or her dad, it was about making her her mother. She lost her mom at 2, and only had her grandma raising her like ass, but then she met his wonderful lady who provided her with affection, and then she thought about wanting her as her mom. She went way too far in that case, obviously, but her motivations weren't to ruin the relationship but to get a new mom.
Either way, real trash.

Sure it wasn't about ruining the relationship, but she saw something she wanted and came to the conclusion that sowing discord in that relationship will aid her goals.
The ends do not justify the means, nor do her motives take away from her actions.

Reina did something terrible, but the broader context has a lot to do with it. Namely absentee parents (due to culture and economy), poor parenting from the ones who were present, and children being underdeveloped gremlins.
Reina's father was not around enough, so she had to be raised by her strict/unloving grandmother. Keito's father was not around enough that an unsubstantiated rumor made by a child was able to drive his marriage apart. I think if their marriage was good they would have figured it out, but nope. A rumor made them realize they didn't like each hother.
She must have felt a huge amount of loneliness, and hadn't been taught well enough to not do what she did. When she felt the first bit of kindness and attention she did what any kid in the sandbox would do- try and take what they want.
And now that she's older and reflected on what she did she feels like dogshit. Understandably, but yeah. I want to shame those loser adults too.

She really IS the worst. I thought I was ready for her Trademark Tragic Back Story, but, Jesus Christ.
The only realistic conversation that can be had here is the stepmom telling Rena it isn't her fault. A married parent would not divorce over a rumour without bringing that up with their spouse. That's true even if their relationship is not good. Continuing this direction would simply be abysmally bad writing. If that happens, then the characters should go on strike for a better writer.
Yes, lying like that is bad and Rena should feel bad about it. But, stepmom would be injecting common sense into this plotline by explaining her divorce happened for the various reasons that people divorce for. And, Rena's delusion that her lie is the reason that this all happened is caused by the self-centeredness expected from a child her age. The more important lie, right now, is the "Keita and I slept together" one. That's a clear indication that Rena hasn't matured out of telling lies yet. Keita needs to give her a verbal smackdown for it and set proper boundaries between him and her.
