I learned that the SFX is a part of the story, sometimes important for the painel, in my case I try translate everything (thank you jadednetwork).
Is up to you what you want to do, redraw, a side note, a translation close to the SFX ...

In my case is the third option a translation os the SFX close trying to match the style

Comedy option: leave all onomatopoeia untouched, no side notes or footnotes. At the end of the chapter, link readers to resources for learning how to read katakana.

I can read the language (not good enough to do serious TL imo) so I'm generally fine either way, however I also fully understand that the point of localizing is to translate those sorts of things as well.
My only demand when doing so is to try to keep the energy/texture of the original, so if the text was scratchy originally, try to keep it scratchy when translating it. These were deliberate choices made by the author, so I'd like to retain their intent.

Thanks for the chapter. Personally, I always like the more educational translations, so leaving it as「ドッ」with a "*thump" TL note on the page is what I'd recommend. It helps newbies when they encounter it untranslated in the wild.

Translation to English is fine but given it's an onomatopoeia I think it shouldn't be localised.
