Canadian Bacon is basically just ham. I wouldn't put it on my burger, but to each their own.

So it's Japanese bacon, which is basically the same cut as normal bacon but somehow processed to look and taste like Canadian bacon/ham. It's rough in Japan as a bacon lover. Also, is it really a quarter pounder? I've always thought the patty was still kind of thin, but it would explain why it's oddly expensive.

I should've been more specific in the TL note, I was likening it to a quarter pounder with an egg so it's more immediately relatable, but I was being America-brained and I believe in reality it's much smaller. In my experience the patties on the burgers I had in Japan were much smaller and thinner, (and not enough to satisfy my gluttonous American stomach) and likely the case with the Tsukimi burger. I went ahead and fixed the TL note to be more broadly familiar to an international audience. Sorry for the confusion

I’m Canadian, and it’s ham. I have never heard it being called ”bacon” or “Canadian bacon” here, so I have no idea where this name comes from. XD

(The first time I heard it, it was from an angry American shouting at me that “Canadian bacon“ was an horrible thing, and I should be ashamed of being Canadian because of that… so yeah… :X )

Oh! Toronto! TBF, I’m French Canadian, and most anglophones I know are from the west... So that track. Thanks. I had never heard of that cut. (TBF, I’m an heretic that don’t like either ham nor bacon, so that probably didn’t help. XD )
