Of all the sudden ending chapters I've ever read, that was certainly one of them.

It's cute that they got together in the end, but lol this definitely screams "the editor phoned the mangaka and said "alright, we're wrapping you up in 2 more chapters. Better start winding things down." because everything screeched to a halt, we did the sudden drama bomb death element, and then he basically confesses to her out of nowhere right before we do the massive jump to them being married.

If this was by design I feel like both the mangaka and the editor failed spectacularly to understand what proper pacing is.

This hits home way too close for me tbh. I had a tiger snake (Aussie btw) and he was called Draco. Beautiful soul, never tried attacking me, was never his lunch, and always travelled on my neck and loved watching what was on the tv with me, anime and movies included, even cuddled up with my cat and they both cared for each other.

He was 5 years old when he passed away suddenly, his tank was big and his heating pad was warm. Woke up one day to him being wrapped around his favourite rock on his heat pad, and I knew something was amiss. Check on him as I usually did and couldn't believe my best buddy had left this realm.

May 28th was his final day, it's been 4 long years. rest easy big boy!
