Now when I can and have the money, I help friends of mine escape abusive households and give them a place to stay and help them become independent. She definitely knew she needed food, but she didn't think she had any electricity to make anything, even heating it up. If she'd gotten the half-priced bento she'd have eaten it cold, even if it was something normally meant to be heated. But water didn't need heating, so she was going to make do with it.
