Oh, for sure. And the author sometimes makes mistakes with Yui's English that a character with Yui's background wouldn't make. The author is trying to write a returnee without really understanding the issues they face or how different their behaviour can be depending on time away.

Her being black-haired isn't really a problem here because at least she is half-japanese. But the manga really hasn't explored the problems that returnees would face. Yui went to England when she was around 7 or 8, iirc, after her mother died. She didn't have any Japanese family nearby that would have allowed her to maintain her Japanese speaking ability or cultural influences.

Even just common japanese mannerisms would be largely unknown to her. A lot of returnees face discrimination or feel ostracized. From my observations, it is in many ways easier for kids to form social bonds as a non-asian foreigner than as a returnee or east-asian immigrant.

The returnee discrimination also affects working adults. For some, their being a returnee is a selling point, but it can have a negative influence on their office relationships. Great, you speak excellent English and have modern design sensibilities. Unfortunately, you leave at 5pm and don't show enough respect to your senpai.

NGL this will be perfect spot to end the series but either owner can make it even better by doing what he was doing or completely ruin it by stretching the story

As someone who has read the raws ahead (both for proofreading expectations and because I can't wait any longer), I proudly say that this series is gonna get better.

I can't really say any details for sure — or else I'd be spoiling you guys, but all I would say is this:
