Yes, we can take a moment to appreciate how cute she is.

...seeing a adolescent incapable of using the internet to learn how to do basic stuff, like cooking for example, seems a pretty lazy behaviour for me. Although, if I use as reference all the kids and adolescents in my neighbour, it's not exactly far from the truth sadly...
Yeah, I've talked with adolescents who were completely incapable of cooking. I mean, it's not rocket science. You heat it up in water or in a pan until it changes consistency to something edible, and other than that you pretty much only have to learn how to cut up and clean vegetables so you don't eat the less edible parts or dirty stuff.

Of course there's a lot more to it, but you don't need to know much to start cooking.

Meta-wise, though, it's just the author's way of justifying
Yeah, there's a lot about her character (and moving Easter) I just don't buy as plausible, like what @Case said about sending her unprepared overseas, or the inconsistent budget @legendary_swordsman mentioned. The name thing is another, since how English nobility handle it is a completely different animal from how the Japanese handle it.

But that's not actually particularly important for enjoying the fluff.

It always amuses me when a character is portraited as someone incapable of dealing with home appliances and technology in general, mainly when the story takes place in a modern era.

I mean, nowadays stuff is so self explanatory and easy to use that seeing a adolescent incapable of using the internet to learn how to do basic stuff, like cooking for example, seems a pretty lazy behaviour for me. Although, if I use as reference all the kids and adolescents in my neighbour, it's not exactly far from the truth sadly...

Also, Yui has all that high end appliances and dishware available and yet not being used to their full potential hurts me a lot. Make your future husbando use it, girl. :worry:
I used to think that but my mind was blown by how many people around my age can struggle with even basic tech stuff lol.

Reading this feels like I'm reading 'Angel Next Door spoils me' from the other perspective.

So she's half japanese. Mystery solved. Now all those people in chapter one worried about her looks being a foreigner can have some rest.

I like how the author made her non Japanese yet made her behave stereotypically Japanese in every way
