What stop are we talking about? Maybe she forgot to stop at the right bus stop or something?

TBH - she was ostensibly raised in the Church.

And if my own anecdotal experience count for anything...girls in those schools are....let's call it "curiously cloistered".
Looooooooooooooooong ago I dated a girl from a catholic school. She was quite the freaky one to say the least...

thought you were suddenly gonna start singing Piano Man
Don't think there were any Catholic girls in that one, though.

Weirdly, as an English person, I've seen many, many, many more Catholics than Protestants. I am aware that Protestantism is supposedly more prevalent in England, but everywhere I've been and stayed in England so far in my life has been, by vast majority, Catholic.
Maybe Catholics are just easy to spot, or they proclaim their faith much louder, though.
Fwiw, it's about 9% of the population Vs. about 46%.

"But we're not even dating."
There's a simple solution for that one, you know.

That whole, "I can't trouble someone else with my feelings," just means shuffling over the initiative to them. You're always forcing them to take action for your sake. Forcing them to expose their feelings so you can do so safely after knowing the answer. It's also a lack of trust that they can handle your feelings.
