Then you're not reading the same manga as I.
It's not 2010 anymore grandpa. Let it go.

So it really turned out that LoveMav was the first manga she ever liked.
I guess the next revelation might just happen to be that the creator was her father all along. It might also turn out that he might have patterned LoveMav's FMC after his wife (i.e. Yayoi's mom), hence the uncanny resemblance. It might just happen that LoveMav is based on his father's high school life.
My current theory is that the author of the manga is someone who knows her, such as her father. The character in LoveNow is then based on her, enough that the author can predict how she would act in a given situation.

This could be true as well. It seems that her father is pretty much well known not only as a good businessman, but someone known particularly in the literary industry as well (the bookstore owner recognized she was the daughter and it seems that the bookstore owner is also indebted to her father as well). It might just be, that the author is her mother (i.e. someone who is close or who WAS close to her father), probably they became estranged during the time of her childhood, hence her father is salty of LoveMav.

Is it just me, or is the MMC on page 12 just looking over her head, speaking to no one as if possessed?

I'm saving this comment for posterity, just in case.

Same here, but due to the father's strong negative reaction I have two theories:

1. The author of the manga is actually her mother, that I think has not been mentioned so far, and could be divorced.
2. The author is the father, but the character is actually based on her now deceased mother and seeing it brings up strong emotions in him.

Not sure which one makes more sense or has less holes though, we are probably still a long way from getting that resolved.

What he should be hoping is that when the day comes to hand over that manga he will just be putting in their bedroom bookshelf.
