that's pretty sweet. I think what sets apart "good" romcoms from the rabble is the detail in character. Great art can only carry you so far.

First of all goated dad!

But what is this chapter? A father's day special? Lowkey came out of nowhere! It's still peak tho.

I don't even think he even considers it as "sacrifice" though, as he just drop the idea without any hesitation and regret, it's not like he's acting out like a kid.

Also, is it the trend nowadays that people try hard not to give any compliment for people doing the correct and nice things trying to be the edgy "I'm better than you all plebs"?

Like, even if a waitress's job is bringing the food I ordered to my table, I'll still say "Thank you" for them, because when you don't appreciate nice thing people do for you, you'll take everything for granted.
It's nice that you thank the waiter, but I don't think anyone wants to read a manga by someone who thanks the waiter.

I seriously don't understand why people are emotional over spending useless amounts of extra money on a Brand Name. A fake Les Paul is dirt cheap, sounds literally the exact same, and the only difference is what? A few extra 1000 bucks? For what? Cred?

I don't get it, what does a brand name mean to anyone? It's like kids and Nike Shoes, you just look stupid. Get a 250 buck Chibson, done. You get a guitar with NO FUCKING DIFFERENCE and you can still pay for your kids tuition. Problem solved for EVERYONE. But no, sacrifice the little money the family has for what?

This isn't even an issue of practicality, dad even noted he knows there are cheaper options. He's just being stubborn about the les paul purely for sentimental value. So why are you aggressively applying logic over an emotional purchase.

If you were so logical maybe you should've taken the time to read the chapter and noticed how one page established dad as K-on fan that just wants to pay homage to a series he grew up with
