Seno is genuinely a really kind MC. Compared to all those other cliché mangas, I don’t even hate this guy, but honestly he doesn’t have any particularly standout good traits; he’s just ordinary and kinda boring. I can’t picture someone like Nekozane next to him. That Takada guy (Seno’s friend) feels way more compatible with Nekozane. If I hadn’t been bombarded with so many plain-loser-boring MCs all the time, I probably could’ve genuinely rooted for Seno and Nekozane, but at this point I’m so sick of the cliché that I just can’t anymore. I really don’t want an amazing FMC like Nekozane to end up with such a dull MC

This feels like bait but you can argue that Takada is a cliche character also. Seno's not your cliche pathetic mc, he is an over thinker sure, but he puts in effort and is willing to change. He is genuine and really cares for Nekozane. All this effort he is doing for her just to become her friend is what's making her fall for him (she didn't just magically like him in one chapter) looking back Seno's a really sweet person (he makes her laugh and is always there for her). He definitely isn't boring to me, he is endearing - like nekozane said "he's cute" and I look forward how he'll continue to capture the cat's heart

Takada's clearly not her relative, so I'm now here wondering why Aki gave him a snake design (or a vampire one, or whatever). Doesn't really seem to connect with his personality/role, neither does it show in his name like it does for Mugi or Momo. There has to be a reason though, you don't just tack that on for nothing

Other than that, he’s still the same boring, cowardly character who’s terrified of interacting with people. This isn’t “sweet,” stop romanticizing this nonsense from your own perspective. If you’re going to do that, don’t do it as a reply to my comment. The MC is completely boring and has zero redeeming traits. His only good point is being excessively nice, and even that is overdone to an annoying degree. They gave you the classic, "yeah the see what the story is saying and doing but I don't care". You know instead of actually analyzing anything they just regurgitate basic tropes and plot points but can't say why they actually think they're bad other than saying things like "boring or overused". Let me make it easy for them. Being genuinely nice is a good trait. Seno moving out of his comfort zone allows Nekozane to move out of her's as well as they both start to interact with more people and experience new and more things.
