I think this chapter may have stated the theme for the whole manga. People are more than they appear on the surface. They are complicated and filled wifh conflicting sides. It's about a boy learning to look deeper at people and who they are.

i wish this can clarify to other readers complaining why our main MC is like this and that. this make a point that he is still learning on stuff especially on emotions and characteristics of people. like what is shia trying to imply or teach to him. even though for us we get it the moment we see or read it but this is a 13 year old boy that still struggling on the changes that he slowly realize. that's the thing we can say not all kids mature equally.

This really is a coming-of-age story, more so than it is a romance. This chapter gives off this feeling the most. If anything, chapter 19 actually didn't sell me on how Tsumugu and Shia supposedly see each other like siblings. Tasuku is making progress, but I'd say he isn't out of the woods yet.
