Well, that's terrifying. Unspeakable horrors exist on June 31, apparently, and they were enough to break Shindo psychologically.

I suspect that the Divine Magus has the power to send people across space and time, which in this case would include June 31. There has to be more than that, though; she can make clones, for one. I am now rather curious about the Divine Magus. If she's so all-powerful, why doesn't she come to the human world herself? Is there someone else sending people to the human world? Why does she have a unspecified creature plushie?

I guess we have an answer to the first question: she's a homebody, just like Osoegawa, and has been sitting for a long time. The second question is also rather serious: someone else transporting evil mages between the worlds probably rattles her a lot, because doing so seems to require a lot of power and would imply the existence of a god-like evil mage. Unfortunately, we don't have an answer to the last question.
