@Cawffee Yeah, I had the same idea. It would be pretty interesting to think of the reasons that would make a woman do it. It could be for nothing but amusement as well. I wonder if doing it for a university thesis could be legal or otherwise acceptable from the university's point of view. Like establishing such contacts with multiple school kids and then analysing the results statistically and qualitatively, especially sticking to the rule of never meeting them face to face, unless at the very end when the data is already sufficiently collected.

@HYBRID_BEING Honestly I don't see how he was insensitive at all, I expected this turn of events, but he managed to be pretty well composed. He said he understood her point of view, and that it was certainly possible for her to like a person whom she has never met and has never even seen. It's still pretty weird and questionable. He never once outright called her wrong, he only said that trusting someone online while never even having seen them is not a smart thing to do.

Honestly, I don't see how he could've done anything better here

Quite the opposite. Yamaguchi's quotes:

I mean, he didn't trash-talked the person nor called Satou wrong, but she obviously was somewhat shaken by those comments. Granted there might be some overreacting on Satou's part, but i think he could have been a tad bit more sensitive about that.
