Also, regarding buying physical copies. I absolutely do. I tend to wait until the series finishes before deciding if it’s something I want to own, unless the translations stop and I’m dying to know how it ends anyway. Thanks for translating. If it wasn’t for people like you, my manga collection would be small.

But I'm here to tell you now each and every mother's son
You better learn it fast, you better learn it young
'Cause someday never comes
Ooh, someday never comes

Poor girl, I'd hug her too. Though, there's always the possibility that the guy just got isekai'd or something happened. You never know.

@ThePaulBunyanTrophy Think of it this way: it's not 7,980 lost sales. That's not how the economy works. It's more like an advertisement that 8,000 people have seen and the author got 20 more sales than he would have otherwise.

It's not a replacement for the original product because it's very unlikely any of us would have bought the manga regardless, whether because we can't read Japanese or because of the fact we were unaware of it. Instead of viewing it as lost consumers, it's more likely to increase sales and consumption of the product as more people become aware of it and information spreads. It's not a loss of customers, it's more likely an increase of them. Damn, economics are weird...

Sadly I'm a fan of manga that are usually fairly niche. They mostly have the big names in the Netherlands and even then I don't live close to a manga shop.
I've imported some, but that's 50 euros shipping for a single package.
I'd buy a lot of manga if they were available at a reasonable price to me, but sadly they aren't so I have to make do with scanlations

Volume 3 purchase update:

As of right now, we're creeping close to 40 total buys for the volume 3. If the buy number reaches 50 before the entire volume is posted, I will translate the next story arc in the web novel. The manga unfortunately stops at around chapter 40 or so of the web novel but the arc that immediately follows it is the school cultural festival arc where the class put on a play: Cinderella.

And who knows, if that's not too hard and the response is good, I might do the rest of the WN... It *is* being done but it's been stalled at chapter 4 or so since February which is chapter 2 or 3 of the manga... It is so incredibly fluffy and nice.

@OldmanJables

The manga ends at chapter 21 as far as I know, and it's been completely scanlated but not all uploaded as of yet. The manga is based on a light novel that is in turn based on a web novel that has recently ended as well. The WN covers time through their high school, past graduation, university and work life, and then a little after that. The arc I'm offering to translate if the buy number hits 50 would be chapters from the web novel covering the cultural festival at their school as they put on a play: Cinderella. Satou and Yamaguchi each have a role in the play. I think it;s about 8 or so chapters.

@ThePaulBunyanTrophy gotcha, thank you very much for the reply and for all the great work you do. It's really unfortunate to hear that this series will be cut short, but I guess that's how it is. :(

I swear, everytime I read this manga it feels like my heart has undergone several stops and starts, but I just can't stop reading.
