To a stranger, yes. To your boyfriend, less so.

It also depends if by "attack" she meant belly poke or aggravated assault.
Are they even dating though? I feel like they arent. At the same time, switch the genders here and it does look pretty bad. A guy saying "careful or I'll attack you" and aggressively touching her belly, especially if was just some female friend of his.

But I guess that this is basically the premise of this series. A girl being "aggressive" like the stereotype would be for a guy, except, of course, she has none of the restrictions that a guy would have and the guy has none of the defenses that a girl would have.

Man, having a busty, drop-dead gorgeous woman constantly clinging to you and making it 100% clear that she wants you as much if not more than you want her must be the absolute worst. Poor MC.

Eh that's just a line straight out of shoujo manga, and guys can get away with anything in those as long as they are hot.

On other news Eguchi has become Hanekawa :headpat:

Yeah, and even their readers will claim that he is toxic and dangerous, but obviously keep reading it. Even they wouldnt call it a wholesome romance. A lot of shoujo and josei is fetishistic, so it's understandable in that context.

This manga doesnt come across as trying to frame itself as a fetishistic rape manga and no one is treating it that way because they dont react strongly when it's a girl molesting a boy. If the roles really were reversed, the same readers would likely react strongly to it, because they are not expecting a rape fetish manga. They clearly view it as a "fluffy" romance.

But I guess many just dont see any issue with this, whether they are a man or a woman, and that does seem to be in line with reality, too. I'm fine with it being in fiction, but it makes a "wholesome" romance hard to enjoy for me, especially if the energy is so insanely one-sided. He never touches her. He never makes her truly flustered. He always has to question his actions and he always has to apologize. She never, ever apologizes nor are her actions every questioned.

I prefer the pre-haircut version and the cat version:
