That was amazing. Mizuhara's problem was that he was too good for his team. Natsu was drawn in by his absolutely amazing fakes. And Mizuhara was definitely "lying" by saying he sucked. He didn't recognize his talent. But now that he has someone that does, he can play very well!

I like the set-up, we even get a romance angle with Hanabi! I hope this gets serialized sooner or later!

Nice. I really like how the author draws the eyes, especially for the girl. (Page 3)

Thanks for the chapter :D

Just checked this out because Satosho Masayoshi is getting serialized in Jump, and his series will probably be based off of this one! I have to say, I really enjoyed this oneshot.

It seems like Tachibana is good at long-range shots, Natsu is good at dunking, and Mizuhara is good at faking. Something I like is that there is a bit of consistent logic here: Tachibana told Natsu that "[Mizuhara] honed his fakes to beat [her] in a one-on-one practice without even touching [her]." If Tachibana can shoot the hoop whenever she gets a ball, Mizuhara naturally had to become good at faking to bypass her without letting her touch the ball.

Overall, this had fun characters, started building interesting ideas, and – most importantly – executed the spokon adrenaline rush brilliantly through good art and pacing. I felt like Mizuhara's motivations were a bit undeveloped at the start and Natsu felt a bit unrealistic, but those complaints arguably stem more from the one-shot's limited page count than anything else. Also, hopefully this doesn't devolve into a love triangle.

Anyways, I really like this! This one-shot felt like material for at least a solid sports manga. Wishing the best for its serialized version.
