I know right, I watched the anime and I decided to watch the manga expecting mostly wholesome things but what the frick is this shit, I'm traumatized now

This is still fitting. Because now she is pretty lonely after killing everyone. Jokes aside, it truly is hell to watch people live on and die while you watch on, feeling less and less human and begging for an end as you cannot feel connected to anything.

I knew the start of her story was going to be something truly traumatizing, to be honest. It was a foregone conclusion. The eternal life part that randoms986 talks about above is something I knew for sure would be the long-term cost, but I also had a feeling just the very beginning was going to be trauma of a kind that would be hard to imagine.

Her father and family paying the price for defying imperial decree was a given, but I wasn‘t entirely prepared for the townspeople turning on her, but it makes sense with what happened in the memories Nasa recovered from their first meeting, where feeding him her blood helped to stave off his death, and she even outright mentioned the whole ‘feeding on the flesh of the immortal’ thing. ‘Hell’ really is a good name for what she just went through, and has yet to face with all those ages of loneliness ahead.
