I'll be honest, I don't know how quick or slow earning a driver's license is in Japan. I just know it has to take a certain amount of time in the US, and varies based on state (usually on the order of several days worth of driving practice- my home state of Maryland required me to get over 60 days, I think it was, when I finally bothered to get one), but other parts of the world I think sometimes have it so you just have to take a practical and probably written test, and maybe there's a little bit of instruction in the process.

I think the only time I ever saw it, even vaguely, depicted was in the Komi-san manga, and it seemed like a pretty streamlined process that Komi went through pretty quickly. Manbagi took a bit more work, though.

Anyway... damn, Shiori really throwing shade on Tsukasa. She does know she saved and raised her mother, right? She's basically the Tsukuyomi matriarch, so kinda funny to call her the family stooge. I mean, sure, she's fallen into some lazy habits, but she's fastidious about housework, particularly cooking, at least, and, outside of her geeky pursuits, she seems to be pretty sensible and frugal. Ah, whatever.

And yeah, that line about an otaku's merch seems about right. Had family where their parents threw out some rare comics on them after they moved out. Complained so much about all those collector's items just gone.
