I really don't know where this manga wants to go.... It's not bad, I just can't see how it will develop.

Just a slice of life thing with the MC seeing the lives of people near him? Or will we get some romance eventually? Who knows....

If anything the uncertainty makes it so I'm curious and come back to read new chapters....

As a side note, i've read the entire LN up to date btw. This situtation doesn't change. If you are expecting any progress with the MC, well, good luck and see you in like 5 years.

There's romance all over the place. It's not with Nukumizu at this point , but there are already three couples whose progression and conflict will largely drive the overall story from here through the coming winter break.

It's a bit of SoL, true, but that aspect exists to chronicle the growth and development of the cast (and pretty much everyone of note in this series has a significant growth/development arc). This is Nukkun's story and his arc is the most pronounced, of course.

Well, we're definitely going to follow the novels. I won't spoil anything but it's feeling like we'll be following our group all 3 years. The beginning quote mentions x% of couples break up so that + them being first years lines us up perfectly for that. Much like OreGairu stuff won't be flying in your face until end of their 2nd year. Also, the manga leaves out A LOT of subtle hints as progression. I highly recommend that if you like the manga to get the Light Novels. They're written so beautifully

Frankly, I'd rather these whole ones than the .1 .2 .3 chapters we've gotten from the other group.

They also do fine work, don't get me wrong, but I definitely prefer these ones more.

I really wish there were volume extras that covered the club journal submissions. There's a massive amount of material in those that tracks the evolving nature of relationships and the changes characters wish to see in those relationships that is completely lost here. (That said, it's fine if Kaju's submission from her open visit in LN 5 is completely ignored, regardless.)
