How weak is the MC's hold? He might even lose, and I think it can be a good idea. Seo Doyun has been portrayed as an unstoppable prodigy, and the MC has been just been winning all the time while being the same loser, maybe it could help with his character.

so in the end, he lost sight of what his goals were and just reveled in losing himself in the fights.

he clearly knew seokju was no good, but lavished in the adoration and the gifts.

he was the first to break away from baek dasom when she realized he was moving away and reached out to him.

these flashbacks never achieved the desired effect, to make an unlikable character more relatable. to me personally, it just made him look much worse than what I first thought about him.

to be fair, I think I am a bit biased in my judgment cause I just want this fight to get to it's conclusion. it's run it's course and I just want this part of the story to finish and move onto more interesting things.
