If he dropped out but knows Taekwando then he might not be high rank. He still got the training from it

Curious to see how they'll portray this. Taekwando is kind of a joke when it comes to MMA, but this is a manwha..
TBF, there have been UFC champs that have trained in the art. So its believable that it can pose a threat to a introverted/noncombative noob with around 4 months(and some change)of experience and comparatively limited training resources.

MMA isn't the 'be all, end all' of fighting, it's like every other combat sports, it's tailored to it's specific ruleset.
tbh i completely disagree with you. I believe that MMA IS the end all be all for fighting as far as combat sports are concerned. But even if i agreed I think we'd both have to admit that the type of fighting in this manwha is geared more towards an MMA style rather than something like taekwando, fencing, chessboxing, etc.

No, the fighting in this manga is geared more toward a baseball bat to the face. Talking about fighting style outside a formal setting with rules is silly.

When a kid who trains Mixed Martial Arts that he learns from a girl who does Mixed Martial Arts fights using Mixed Martial Arts against a kid trained in Taekwando that fights using exclusively Taekwondo...I'd say fighting styles are fairly relevant.

I'd also say there's pretty clearly been unspoken rules in most of the fights we've seen so far(mushroom head fight not included). Don't think the lack of eye-gouging, nutshots, etc is a coincidence. Maybe I'm wrong though, and next chapter someone's gonna pull up with a crossbow or better yet a bomb, lol..

There really hasn't been, knocking your opponent against a wall and ganging up on him is hardly MMA rules and it has happened a bunch.

I'd say fighting styles are fairly relevant.
And you'd say wrong because you keep flip flopping your argument cause you're obviously wrong. Every time you got proven wrong on the IRL side, you flip to the 'in-universe' side, then get proven wrong there and switch back to IRL.

IRL MMA isn't the be-all, end-all of fighting, it's just a combat sports amongst many. In-universe, Taekwendo is just as good as MMA, which isn't the be all, end all of fighting there either. So either way, you're wrong.
