Based on consultation with a tagging guidelines doc, I've removed the historical/slice of life/(high) fantasy/incest tags. Also, slightly more controversially, the sexual violence tag,. If anyone knows why it's tagged that let me know and I'll re-add it but the current incidents seem just violent eating people and not like whatever was going on in beastars.

I'm replying a year later, but with what's happened up to chapter 26, I'd say you can put the incest and sexual violence tags back on.
If the tags don't get put back, then maybe this comment will serve as a warning of sorts for people that checks for it before reading.
It's not horrible or unbearable to go through (your mileage may vary), but it's not a pleasant part of the read, it mixes animal logic on how it's common for animals that are in the same family to breed, and the human pressure and blackmail (of sorts), so it's hard to judge on a morality scale or to be detached since the characters are humanized and display human feelings and emotions.

i read the raws up to 41 it looks like he encounters some found family group of animals who follow this elephant lady that keeps them all together also a few different breeds of dragon exist one of them seems to be this plant form one that seems to parasitize animals to make more offspring(it ends up killing the elephant lady and a bunch of other animals. another group are the fire breathing wyverns that keep hunting and destroying the lives of some animals the like the ones the MC meets and they end up kidnapping him and it looks like they also kill the MCs species of dragon(because of course why not) and thats where the raws are now

I don't like that the author decided to make the dragon mate with that other dragon. I was really hoping for them both to share that special moment. By the look of things I can already tell the author will most likely make the female tiger accept the invitation of that first tiger they meet and the boy dragon will either witness it or be told by the tiger. And this will make there relationship even more divided as they both lost something precious they could have given each other. This mamaga is definitely going to be one of those that don't end happily ever after.

It's safe to say from this past chapter the author will take things to the worst. He already made the boy dragon give up his virtue. He most definitely is going to do it with the female tiger. My prediction is either she accepts the first tigers invitation out of sadnesses or she will bump into a stronger male tiger and animal instincts kick in making her want to mate. And the boy dragon will either witness it or be told by her. It's safe to assume the author does not intend on giving these two a happy ending. What I am hoping happens is he tells her what happened and she gives him her virtue to cleanse him and this will strengthen there bond

It's gonna bet worst to be honest if the author already made the boy lose his virtue with the female dragon it's safe to assume he is going to do the same with the female tiger. This is definitely going to be a no happy ending manga. My prediction is he is going to do 1 of two things. 1. The female tiger out of sadness and stress will accept the invitation of male tiger 1 or she will bump into a stronger more powerful male tiger her animal instincts will kick in an will accept his mating request. And ether one the male dragon will either witness it in person or be told by her. In which there bond will divide even more. If you ask me the dragon and wolf in the turtle den had a better outcome both died in each other arms there love pure not tainted by others.

I have a feeling that the ending of this manga won't be good, and I'm NOT ready for it.

I already love this manga. Been a fan since 2025. In fact, it made me appreciate nature, despite me being a sci-fi fan. The feeling of adventure in a vast land with no human made structures, just nature everywhere. Not to mention the feeling of you and the person you love exploring the world.

Also, I like how both Hekidou and Ouga are represented as. Hekidou represents love, while Ouga represents lust. Now, the only thing both of these characters have in common is that they want to be with Hakurei. The only difference is the motive and/or reason. Ouga wants to be with Hakurei because she's beautiful and/or hot, and that he wants to have kids wth her. While Hekidou doesn't even know the reason why he wants to be with her.

There's a quote about love that I will never forget, and it says that if you can explain why you love someone, or you only love them because of how they look, you don't really love them. Because you only love them for their looks (e.g., lust). But if you can't explain why you love them, despite their flaws, that's true love. True love is beyond logic. You can't really put to words on why you feel safe and happy whenever you're near that person. And this manga does it so well. Unfortunately, our boy Hekidou here hasn't realised it yet.
