It started incredibly strong, with gorgeous artwork, a lore-rich story, an interesting world, and captivating characters. Tsugumi was especially gorgeous—not in a perverted way, but in a genuinely artistic sense. Over time, though, the author seemed to abandon that beautiful art style and started portraying Tsugumi as overly exaggerated and silly in almost every panel. Even during moments that were meant to be serious, she was reduced to a goofy doodle. It was funny at first, but it quickly became exhausting. The same thing happened with Puck in Berserk, to the point where it became hard to even remember what his original design looked like.
A shame. This manga could easily be a 10/10 for me, but mainly because of this, there's no way I consider it a perfect score.
