I'm in the US so I think it's so funny that Kogane thinks it's weird that Christmas trees are up when it's 'only' the start of December. Here, the whole HallowThanksMas hell starts in October. All October is 'Halloween is coming!' and after that (Oct 31) it's instantly 'Thanksgiving is coming!' and then after that (Nov 27) it's 'Christmas is coming!' till Dec 25 and then it's 'New Years is coming!' till Jan 1. And that's only the polite businesses. The real asshole businesses will have Christmas stuff up starting October or earlier. So it would be a total relief to only see Christmas crap near Christmas. They really do live in a better world!

Also nice to see Shigeomi getting his wish. She's more aware of him personally.

It's not just jumping spiders that "fly", almost all their species can ride the winds on spider-silk "parachutes", for hudreds of kilometers. It's how they were able to migrate to other continents or islands before mankind was seafaring and it still happens.

After Kogane's 'adventures' with cursing Kanasaka she's been forbidden from using a whole range of techniques. Definitely anything involving curses, but not sure how much 'normal' fox magic that covers. I would think foxfire would still be okay and would definitely serve as a distraction, but...

you know, i usually don't have a problem with arachnoid monster girls (not exactly my favorites but rach-nee is best monmusu, fight me! *) but yotsuyu is just... author-san, please please PLEASE redesign her fucking spider appendages, I can't even put into words exactly why they're so gross but stretching human skin over the shape of a standard exoskeleton is just... eugh
it looks bad and (even though it probably doesn't) i can't help but imagine the skin making squelching noises as it slides over the carapace underneath

i hate knocking a somewhat unique aspect on a design that truly sets it apart from the rest but i'm just saying there's a damn good reason why spider-human-hybrid designs typically either go "human with extra (human) limbs bolted on" or "human with extra limbs (that are immediately identifiable as a normal spider's, but big) bolted on" or (in the case where the designer isn't a coward) "relatively nicest looking parts of a spider (aka not the head) + human from the waist up", stretching human skin over something definitely not human-shaped underneath is horror game shit for a reason lol

because the manga was only an LN advert that only covered the first, single interesting fight in the series that came after the heavy worldbuilding & setup the first volumes needed to do so nobody is ever gonna see how great/nuts the rest of it gets unless they're bored enough to check out the LN like I was. also they decided to use the end-of-volume "what if" story that had one of the most lackluster futures as the goddamn opening chapter just so they could have a tiny bit of action and sex appeal to bait people in even though it gives a very wrong impression because they (obviously) didn't want to say "haha this is just a what-if, the story won't actually go this direction at all lol" on the very first page of a new series... i guess it did its job since it got me to read the LN but goddamn i'm mad such an enjoyable series got shafted so hard, like it wasn't bad enough that the name ("min-maxing my trpg build in another world", like really bro?) is dumb enough to make me pick it up in a standard isekai trash trawl expecting it to be some of the worst shit ever put to a page lol
