How'd the birds and Teacher so easily get past the wall and inside the village, though?! The birds can fly, so do they really have no defenses against that? How have they ALL not been cursed yet, in that case? If they wanted to they surely could?

Wow! This art is truly beautiful! I don't think I've ever seen a manga with such a spectacular style. In particular page 20 looks absolutely stunning, perhaps one of the best single pages I've ever seen in manga.
