I guess that's the plot? Garcia is literally better than Ryusei in every way. But Ryusei is the one who's alive and now he has to like, live with guilt? If this was a better manga it'd probably be an alright point.

it was never anything like high-brow but at least Kibo was traveling the world and getting into tournaments, fighting a unique cast of characters. now we're just filling time seeing what animal Ryusei fights next. (probably a literal tiger at some point)
