All those fanworks presenting Flandre as eternally imprisoned, who'd cause an unprecedented disaster if she ever got free and/or who resents her sister for keeping her locked up... And then official side material semi-casually shows that she was effectively never locked up in the first place and just doesn't go out because she doesn't care to do so.

If nothing else, Touhou is pretty good at being anti-climactic.

@Gian I mean, kinda. Technically speaking, there's nobody in the mansion that can actually stop her even if they all tried to gang up on her. As far as I know, she's the most powerful resident there going by canon lore. Fanon seems to blow up (LOL, get it?) Remi and Sakuya's power a tad bit too much, especially Remilia's.
