When was Okina ever related to Kanako in any way? She also hasn't shown any work in maintaining the barrier. That's really more a Yukari and Reimu thing.

tl;dr: the god lunarians fear is okina (matarajin has several names) yukari said so in silent sinners in blue after she got tied by toyohime; the same god there yamato ones came from (kanako is one of said gods), hence okina is the father of kanako but this is 2hu where almost any notorious nonhuman male got genderwarped and about the second she maintains the barrier up, yukari/ran repairs the gaps in the barrier.
