I wonder if the reason there is such a long period between incarnations is because they are all so cheeky and rack up sins to be cleansed in Hell between incarnations. Anyway, this series is good.

IIRC, the official explanation was that cleansing the impurity of life (like the Lunarians say) takes a long time.

Heh, pretty sure that's what actually happens. No way the Childs of Miare can stand someone as strict as Eiki without being cheeky about it.
