Marisa as the main character would be too samey to other cheating mahjong series, I really like her use here as an insanely memorable side character. After all, even if the main character gets to beat all the bosses in a danmaku match, the bosses are the ones who ends up looking super cool. And Marisa's a hell of a boss to fight...
