So far so good. Its good thing that its only 7 volume, means there are not drag and unnessecary story. Meanwhile its bad news too that this solid manga only had 7 volumes

I saw this the other day and read everything this author's done - I didn't realize the artist for Rainbow was also so skilled at writing. I'm excited to see where this ends, and I love that the author is capable of telling a full story without needing to draw it out or trying to milk it for all its worth - every scene matters. It's uncommon to see that in this day and age...

I don't mind the blood, the gore, or the death...

However, the overall of the sad tone and the suspense is killing me...

Is this going to be like that manga about a lord that guards over the border and does extreme display of punishment to those who he catches? I'm getting that vibe from this one.

Wolfsmund?

On the one hand it doesn't quite feel like, on the other hand even in a fantasy alt.history Rome wouldn't be falling to two blokes so yeah.

Okay, so the entertainment factor is basically just us in the emperator's shoes. We're not actually going anywhere with this, we'll just see people fighting in the arena.

I have read the entire series and I have to say that the story is pretty simple and full of cliches, it also seems like a sumary of a manga rather than a real manga because of the pacing being so rushed and the story being extremely superficial. It could have being much more dense and lots of things could have been much better explored, the author should have taken much more time to develop this work. I like it because it did give me the chills a lot of times and the author is really skillfull despite the problems that I mentioned. And the art is absolutelly stunning, but on paper it looks so much better. This is nothing special, but it is a nice read.

A gathering of "short" stories from different people from different times all tied together by being homies to monster, interacting with each other in a very time skip matter and being tortured by Rome for being friends with monsters and have to fight in the Coliseum.

If you like stories with very little happy endings and more suffering, characters that died showing up in later chapters because time skip back to a new bunch of protagonists. Then I recommend it

The art and gore of this work was pretty good so I will give it a 7/10

Starting to get bored.. Visual feats of valor and camaraderie is nice and all but I don't I like seeing it in repetition. It just makes me ask if we're going somewhere with it but then the story already sealed that thought in the early chapters so.. eh. Gonna skip it for a while.

This is so fucking retarded. So many plotholes, so ahistorical, and so obviously exaggerated personalities, and always the dragon comes in to save the day. How did the empire even function with such retardy shits at the head when it wasn't even this awful until a hundred years after? And if they could brainwash people, why didn't they just fucking brainwash the dragon? Also why is there a Japanese boy with thick as fuck eyebrows called Arthur there? The blond dude looks like Thorfinn from Vinland Saga, so what's his name, if not Finn? For fuck's sake there's no story worth reading and there's not even any nudity, the only useful factor to this manga is the violent action scenes, but even those are awful. The placement of characters, the size of the background, the speed of movement, and anything else that might make a battlefield interesting is utterly neutered for the sake of a single moment of excitement like a shitty lootbox in a game--it could have been acceptable if it was just being placed second to story, except there's not even any story to place it second to! Utterly terrible.

Greetings and salutations, this is your friend Omega Kaiser, former proofreader for Kingdom Italia English and translator/typesetter for the half-hated, half-loved but now defunct Bushi Graveyard group. Back on 2019 I worked with fellow histoy aficionados Thelele and KIE on scanlating Bestiarius using the French version by Kazé but, unfortunately, both my partners in crime are no more since early 2020 so it was put on the freezer while my attention diverted to Orient by Shinobu Ohtaka. However, having recently acquired the Mexican scans of Panini, I have decided to revive this manga by translating it into English for the enjoyment of the community.

Having said so, the chapters which you just read will be the only time on which I do the typesetting (my bizarre Orient experience nearly gave me nightmares, hehe) so I, as a Lanista, am more than willing to recruit "slaves" to act as redrawers and typesetters for the rest of the story. Feel free to contact me thru a DM and may you enjoy the thrills to come. Have a wonderful winter, patricians!
