Thats Grade A bullshit, it really just cuts from his new powerful looking form, to him just nearly dead on the floor as a kaneki nugget. Like is it supposed to be a joke? Do we laugh?

So frustrating seeing all this potential greatness just fizzle out

Imo that's better than 20+ pages of hard to follow kagune swinging. And the fact that the fight is over instantly makes it feel like the game really IS OVER. No 10 flashback get-ups in a row like in the Arima fight in cochlea.

Man after dozens of filler fighting chapters that dragged on wayyyy too long, we finally get to a fight we've all been waiting for and it gets skipped. Man I thought RE: has been super disappointing already but this just tops the cake. I really don't understand how the same author who made Tokyo ghoul could write something this bad and sucks even more because the potential this manga had is wasted.

It's a shame people here are incapable of understanding the manga they are reading.

For those that don't understand, the reason Kaneki lost was that:

1. He hasn't eaten in a long, long time so he's heavily weakened
2. He's rapidly aging
3. He can't regenerate at all (keep in mind Shirazu, a Q not even a ghoul, was still regenerating at death's door but Kaneki can't, that's how bad it is)
4. Suzuya and Hanbee were prepared to die and so they were fighting as if they were cornered animals
5. Kaneki being the flawed human being he is, held back because 1. Suzuya is his friend and 2. he has yet to kill a single human and has chosen not to as of this chapter

If even 1 of these things were not the case, he'd win. Let's face it, a healthy Kaneki is as strong as Arima and Suzuya is not Arima. Suzuya and Hanbee BARELY won together.

Kanki lost to the plot not even going to lie And so did I. In the first part kaneki awakens when he decides he wanted his mom to choose him to be selfish and choose him over her sister. He is rewarded for that by beating Jason. He then makes a decision later to try and save manager and he is punished for that decision. A similar thing happened here every time he chooses to try and save what he cares about for "selfish reasons"he is probably punished(For his heroics). It's the same thing here he makes a selfish decision to not try and save his wife's best friend but then tries to save them and he is punished. I don't know how this ends but this is his last chance to truly save everyone and himself and I guess the world at least Tokyo so let's see what happens.
