I like that his skill rewards effort. He isn't just OP by virtue of being a hero, or some magic awakening - he has to try and learn in order to become strong. If he had never met the trio, he would have wasted his potential with the world looking down on him.

Even now, his growth in the fight is due to his refusal to run away and instead giving it his all.

So he's got a skill that improves the speed at which his skills level up, but I'm wondering if this is the same for other jobless people in this world. If it's only the MC then this manga immediately shoots up a notch on the scale of power fantasies I've read and it loses a few interesting avenues to go down in terms of story telling.

If other jobless characters have the hidden skill then there could've been an internal conflict for the MC and his masters to deal with, that being if they should reveal the hidden skill to the public and risk massively changing the way their society works or if they should keep it secret and use it for their own good while simultaneously keeping the status quo/the world's way of life. Furthermore, if the author had the characters reveal the hidden skill and it does in fact apply to all jobless people, then there could be a less internal and more public conflict between people with jobs trying to maintain their livelihoods and jobless people trying to obtain the same livelihoods/privileges as said people with jobs.
I doubt this is how the manga will turn out though, so I'll continue to treat it as a power fantasy manga until it either proves itself otherwise or ends.

I'm still a little peeved that the girl who literally tried ganging up with some guys to beat the shit out of the MC for, uh, getting stronger I guess, is probably going to end up as a love interest and ally to the person she's been tormenting, but I'm starting to get desensitized to this sort of thing as I keep encountering it in the other manga I read.
