I hope this does come up eventually, like most of their training lessons have done to some degree.

I understand it mostly lent itself to jokes while trying to give Cross an opportunity to show off his new weapon, but for being so excessive, it feels a lot less impressive as you say.

I feel this way about a lot of series that have stupidly OP characters (worse if it's the protag) where tf is the excitement? The suspense?? All of that gets thrown out of the window when you know a win is guaranteed, even worse when the author exaggerates the win which turns the fight into literal easy mode, it's like playing thru Elden Ring on the hardest difficulty with every single cheat code turned on, not impressive in the slightest even if you beat the game without deaths


At least with One Punch Man, that whole series is satire and makes fun of that specifically, this manga does this and expects to be taken seriously 🤦🏾‍♂️
