I feel like I should be happy for the two but I'm kinda eh? about it. I felt way more bad for the childhood friend girl. She died too young. Kinda felt like they swept her death under a rug, especially the black haired dude. At least the other guy was crying and stuff. Is it appropriate to date a dead person's ex so soon after the funeral? At least give it a couple of weeks lol.

@liszst I think you misunderstood the timeline. Rio and Gaku break up after that black haired guy leaves their hometown (mostly around after graduation). The friends that ended up drinking with them already said that even after break he still hangout with her.

She died around 22 where people usually graduates around 19 yrs in hs.

All throughout I just felt that Rio was fridged and used as a plot device even after her death just to wring all that guilt and all we get is "I'm sorry I couldn't protect her." She was literally chopped liver. Perhaps the one shot format didn't fit this story to give it it's due. But I have an inkling there'd be more scenes mainly for the service of the BL plot.
