I mean, I've always felt the good part of all this is that yawning manually is really easy. Just think of doing it and it shall occur, even if it's nominally involuntary.
(Mostly just useful for dealing with ear-aches from pressure-change differences, opens up the relevant air-passages. I'm sure there's some other use case, like pretending you're tired for social reasons :'p)
