I really dislike this story. It was a fairly bog standard drama at first, but it became terrible when Saya threatened to kill herself. If you are so reliant on one relationship that breaking up makes you want to end life, you should talk to a therapist immediately. And if you don't mean it, but are just saying it to keep the person around, that is really abusive. But this comic acts like threatening suicide was the right thing to do to get Miharu back, since it led to her appologising and the "happy end" of them getting back together. It's so fucked up.

To be clear I'm not opposed to dealing with depression or suicide in manga. But you have to be careful in how you do such a story. A Silent Voice is a good example of a comic that deals with these issues really well. I realize this is a one shot and doesn't have the time A Silent Voice did, but if you can't do it well then maybe don't talk about suicide at all.

While this manga doesn't set a positive example on the topic of suicide, it is somewhat realistic. Threatening to kill oneself is increasingly common as a tactic in relationships and not just in fiction. I have personally seen this type of situation occur three times. When people are desperate and heartbroken, they try to think of any course of action that could restore their happiness. Threatening to commit suicide could force the other person to reevaluate their choices.

Of course, this strategy almost never works and almost always backfires. The person might get temporary sympathy, but the other person will often draw away quickly afterwards because the concept of suicide scares people away from you.

Yeah I'm not a fan of the overly dramatic suicide over a relationship cliche. It just makes relationships come off as toxic when a person threatens suicide just to make the other person stay. I find nothing romantic about it.

Strange story with stupid characters. What was the point in intentionally hurting someone who loves you, by saying you're going to cheat on them and behaving like all of your previous relationship was merely a farce? It was kind of cruel, so i get why that other girl got hysterical. Still, using suicide as a threat is also a very bad idea, although i believe it is quite common with children and teens. All in all, it is quite realistic story of stupid schoolgirls, who can't normally communicate and understand their own feelings, and unhealthy ways of solving said problems.
